Young Adults & Individuals

Most people come to therapy carrying something specific. Anxiety that won’t settle. A relationship stuck at the same wall. A change no one planned for. A quiet question about who you’re becoming. Sometimes life looks fine from the outside and still feels unsettled underneath. Whatever brought you to therapy, you don’t have to make sense of it alone.

What I offer is a room that stays steady. Unhurried and honest. A place to slow down enough to hear yourself think. I don’t hand out answers. My work is to help you find the ones already in you, and say them plainly.

I spent more than a decade in finance, leadership, and mentoring, sitting with many people through career changes, pressure, and quiet uncertainty about who they were becoming. That work taught me how to listen. I’m bilingual in English and Macedonian, at home with people living across more than one language or culture.

I’m less interested in the symptom than in the question underneath it — what has meaning for you, and how you want to live. The people I work with are usually young adults and individuals: anxious, unsure of who they’re becoming, standing at some change in work or life, or working through intimacy and sexuality. When the hard part is a relationship, we look at the patterns you bring into it. I also see couples on a limited basis, under supervision, when it fits.

I draw on person-centered and existential counseling and a trauma-informed lens. In plain terms: I listen, I name the patterns I see, I ask the honest question. I believe in what happens outside the room too — walking, moving, time outdoors. I write, which keeps me close to the stories we tell about our own lives.

As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I provide care under the supervision of licensed clinicians at DCVA Counseling & Psychotherapy — so your therapy is supported both by our work together and by experienced professionals.

Reaching out doesn’t mean you have it all figured out. It means you’re ready to begin. If this sounds like the kind of space you’re looking for, I’d be glad to connect.
