Teens & Adults

I believe that people have a deep capacity for growth and healing, even when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Life can be unpredictable and, at times, leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, angry, grieving, or unsure of how to move forward. Therapy should be a space where you can bring all of those experiences and show up fully as yourself—without judgment—and feel supported as you explore, heal, and grow. My goal is to offer you that space so you can better understand yourself, your patterns, and your emotional world, and begin to create meaningful change in your life.

I work with teens and adults coping with a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, identity exploration, life transitions, shame, and emotional regulation. I have a particular interest in working with adults who have experienced relational and developmental trauma.

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, understood, and free to explore your thoughts and emotions openly. I bring my personality into the work and encourage you to do the same—I value authenticity in the therapy room and welcome humor (and even cursing) as part of the process. I also invite your feedback along the way, as it’s important to me that you feel actively involved in shaping our work together. Together, we will build awareness of your internal experiences, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and cultivate a more compassionate and grounded sense of self.

I draw from person-centered therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based, and psychodynamic approaches. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to the success of our work together, and that experiencing a safe, secure connection can be deeply transformative.

I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at William & Mary. My background includes over a decade of work supporting individuals and communities, including as a consultant helping nonprofit leaders build healthier, more connected environments, and as a career coach supporting young adults in finding meaningful career paths.

As a Brazilian-American, I value cultural identity and the ways our backgrounds shape how we move through the world. Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me walking, reading or listening to audiobooks, admiring cute dogs, or making a good pot of soup.

If this resonates, I invite you to reach out—I’d love to connect.

I work under the supervision of Isabel Kirk, LPC and Andreea Solfavi, LPC
